2010: NWO VENI grant Scattering of twisted light by helical matter. Salary and equipment for 3 years (250,000€) from the Dutch research organization NWO. I was awarded this grant in the “first round”.
2008: Teaching Price Teaching price of the University of Karlsruhe, jointly with Prof. Dr. Claus Klingshirn for excellent teaching (master's lecture “Fundamentals of Optics and Photonics”); 10,000€ prize money.
